Welcome to Pacific Sporthorses
Emma King
Owner, Head Trainer

Our Story
At the young age of eighteen, after growing up riding in both Seattle and San Diego, Emma took a chance and moved to Europe to gain more experience in the equestrian industry. There, she earned a BSc in Equestrian Sport Science at Hartpury University in the UK all while persuing her riding goals. She spent two summers riding and competing young horses in Belgium, while during the school years she seized every opportunity to ride; both on catch rides as well as a few different lease horses, making the most of her university's world-class equine facilities. In the final year of her degree, while balancing classes and work at a local barn, Emma met her 2024 goal of competing at FEI 1* level aboard Puccini II.
After graduating and finishing the 2024 competition season in the UK, Emma briefly returned to Seattle to work as an assistant trainer before making the move back to Southern California to open her own business. She strives to provide a transformative, encouraging environment where she can support her students in their riding goals and success while continuing her own progression up the levels. Emma's passion and commitment to performance excellence combined with a positive client experience laid the foundation for Pacific Sporthorses.
